Horizon 2020 is largest ever EU Research and Innovation funding programme with an available budget of €79bn.
Academic participation in European funding is of strategic importance to all universities. However, most Horizon 2020 projects require multiple partners from multiple countries, including industry, with an emphasis on SME participation. Universities can find it difficult to identify and attract high quality external partners that will help secure this highly competitive funding.
Speakers will talk about their experience and knowledge of the Horizon 2020 programme and advise on the best ways to engage industrial partners not just in the UK, but across Europe.
In addition the session will also provide an update from Yorkshire Universities on the new European Structural and Investment Funds and the work it is doing to help as part of its Yorkshire Universities Technical Assistance (YUTA) project.
